The design process
After the initial discussion with the client, sketches are made for approval. The next stage is to provide a finished rendered drawing of the object to be made.

In the case of models of buildings or vehicles photographs are taken together with measurements before going to the drawing board, where accurate scale drawings are constructed. This helps to understand the processes involved in the manufacture of the piece, also giving correct sizes for the cutting list of materials.
From this stage the manufacturing begins using different techniques applicable to each part of the model. Techniques involved could be working with sheet metal or making patterns for casting. Different types of machining are often required, some parts would be hand chased or even photo-etched.
When the object is complete and fits together nicely, it then has to be stripped of all file marks and finally polished and textured if desired.
